My name is Lauren and I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. I have been focusing my studies in holistic heath for awhile now. I have always felt a strong connection to Mother Earth and using my hands in various ways. I was certified in yoga 10 years ago and have been a yoga instructor for 6 of those years. I am also a licensed Feldenkrais Practitioner of 7 years and a Massage Therapist for 4 years. I specialize in deep tissue and trigger point massage. I believe taking care of yourself mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually is so important because that is what helps us grow from within and continue to learn about ourselves. Massage Modalities Offered: Deep Tissue & Trigger Point Massage Deep tissue + Trigger Point massage uses a slow deep pressure to relieve muscle tension and improve mobility. Sports Massage & Myofasial Sports massage centers on realigning the deeper layers of connective and muscle tissue. Prenatal Massage Prenatal massage is a type of therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother to be as her body goes through the changes of pregnancy. It helps alleviate discomfort in muscles and joints, improve circulation , reduces back pain, reduces stress, can help with cramps, headaches, and swelling. Functional Integration Sessions A functional integration session is custom tailored for each individual and what they would like to work with. I guide an individual through movement lessons using gentle non-invasive touch as a primary means of communication. The touch reflects to the individual how they currently organize their body. As I suggest through gentle touch it can help expand new movement patterns, which could be more comfortable, efficient and useful which then could be carried out within their daily lives giving them more effective ways through their experiences and ease of movement.
